General Manager – Ludlow Bar & Dining
Southbank

Red Rock Venues is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead Ludlow Bar & Dining, our modern riverside gastropub situated on Melbourne’s beautiful Southbank.

About Ludlow Bar & Dining:

Part public bar, part contemporary dining room, Ludlow offers the best of both worlds: a refined Australiana menu alongside classic pub favourites, served across a sprawling 600-capacity venue that hums with energy from lunch to late night.

With spaces spanning a riverside terrace, elegant dining rooms, and a lively public bar, Ludlow has something for everyone, from casual drinks and bar snacks to full venue functions.

Following a change in strong leadership, we’re looking for a General Manager who leads with a heart for hospitality and a head for business — someone who thrives on building and supporting teams, bringing structure to busy environments, and being present when it matters.

This role would suit a leader who’s commercially astute and invested in continuing to drive the momentum of the business, whilst maintaining and exceeding clear standards across service, people and performance.

This is a hands-on role requiring presence on the floor, confidence in decision-making, and the ability to lead calmly through busy service periods, large functions and peak trade.

About You:

You’re an experienced hospitality leader who has managed large, high-volume venues and understands the balance between people leadership and commercial outcomes.

  • You lead with care, but not at the expense of clarity.
  • You value consistency, follow-through and presence.
  • You understand that culture is built through expectations and support — not noise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall leadership of venue operations
  • Recruitment, development and retention of staff
  • Building and supporting a strong management structure
  • Oversight of functions and major service periods
  • Wage control, budgeting and financial performance
  • Compliance, safety and operational standards
  • Collaboration with the Red Rock Operations and Marketing Teams

Duty Manager at Precinct Hotel
RICHMOND

The Precinct Hotel is looking for a Duty Manager to help lead our busy Richmond venue. If you enjoy fast-paced service, leading from the front and building strong teams we want to hear from you

This is a hands-on, service-focused role. We’re a venue that values high standards, accountability and team members who lead by example.

This role is ideal for someone looking to continue their leadership skills within an experienced management team and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and ensure smooth day-to-day service
  • Support, coach and motivate casual team members
  • Maintain high presentation standards across the venue
  • Assist across all areas of the venue in a hands-on capacity
  • Delegate tasks and supervise staff during service
  • Manage venue opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure venue procedures and best practices are followed

About You

  • Passionate about delivering great customer service

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Available to work rotating rosters including late nights and weekends

Requirements

  • Victorian RSA
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role

Duty Manager at Temperance Hotel

We’re looking for talented, motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Temperance Hotel on Chapel Street!

Nestled on iconic Chapel Street in South Yarra, Temperance is a modern pub with a strong local following. The venue hosts everything from busy trivia nights and sporting events, to DJ nights and private functions.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll be right in the thick of service—leading the team, keeping the energy up, and ensuring everything runs smoothly across the bar, dining, and event spaces. Whether it’s a buzzing Friday night at the bar, a packed Tuesday Night Trivia, or a big function, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps it all on track.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Leading from the front, keeping service sharp and the atmosphere on point.
  2. Working across bar, floor, and functions, making sure every guest has a great experience.
  3. Supporting the team, training staff, and keeping things running smoothly.
  4. Managing stock, budgets, and rosters, keeping an eye on costs and efficiency.
  5. Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, OH&S, and health and safety regulations.
  6. Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and any issues with professionalism and a personal touch.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who lives and breathes hospitality—a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced venue and knows how to get the best out of their team.

You’ll need:

  1. Previous experience as a Duty Manager in a busy pub, bar or restaurant.
  2. A hands-on approach—comfortable behind the bar, on the floor, or running a function.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  4. A genuine passion for great service and making people feel welcome.
  5. An eye for the numbers—experience managing rosters, budgets, and stock.
  6. A solid understanding of liquor licensing, food safety, and OH&S regulations.
  7. The ability to stay cool under pressure and keep service running smoothly.
